# Portfolio: integration and handoff

Prepared 17 October 2026. Independent content mapping to Portfolio Starter by Webflow (Webflow): https://webflow.com/templates/designers/webflow

## Place the reusable button

Add a button labelled "Use this checklist" to the template's getting-started documentation, buyer welcome document or private onboarding page. Use this generic draft URL:

https://askforfile.com/requests/new?draft=1&template=system-design-assets&draftTitle=Content+for+your+portfolio+website&draftMessage=Please+share+the+content+for+your+portfolio+below.+Start+with+three+projects+you+have+permission+to+show.+Keep+private+client+information+out+of+the+files.+You+can+reopen+this+same+private+link+for+anything+still+missing.+Never+upload+passwords+or+access+keys.&draftRecipientLocale=en&draftDeliveryMethod=copy_link&source=public&cta=prepare_content_request&utm_source=template_partner&utm_medium=template_documentation&utm_campaign=website_content_kits_v1&utm_content=portfolio&draftItem=Short+biography+and+headline%0AA+document+with+your+role%2C+short+introduction+and+the+type+of+work+you+want+to+show.&draftItem=Three+project+summaries%0AFor+each+project%2C+include+your+role%2C+a+short+description+and+approved+credits.+Do+not+include+confidential+results.&draftItem=Portrait+and+project+images%0AOriginal+web-ready+images+with+publication+permission%2C+named+to+match+each+project.&draftItem=Public+contact+details+and+links%0AOnly+the+email%2C+social+links+or+downloadable+biography+you+want+visitors+to+see.

In Framer, select your text/button layer and set its Link to this URL. In Webflow, select a Button or Link Block and paste the URL in Link settings. A normal link is enough; no script, iframe, API key or form action is required. The adjacent portfolio-button.html is a plain HTML equivalent for documentation that accepts HTML. Test the button in the platform preview before publishing. Native editor installation has not been verified in this pack.

Never put a private /upload/ link or a compact recipient link in a reusable template, public page or shared asset. Each buyer creates a new request with a separate private link. Do not include client names, emails, file contents or credentials in the reusable URL.

## Run the collection

1. The buyer opens the button, signs in as requester and reviews the four editable items. Keep only items needed for this job, use Copy link and choose a deadline.
2. Create the request, copy its new private upload link and send it privately through the existing written client channel. The recipient does not need an account.
3. The recipient drops files, leaves optional identity fields blank if desired and returns to the same link for anything missing. No required file-by-file assignment is added.
4. The requester checks each file. Use Accept when it is useful, or Request replacement with a specific note. A file received is not necessarily accepted. Mark checklist items only when their requested content is present.
5. Copy the missing/replacement follow-up from the request. Send it manually only to the intended recipient. Copy-link requests do not imply automatic reminders.
6. Download all files as the existing grouped ZIP. Check the files and any publication permission before putting them into the site. The ZIP separates accepted files and files awaiting review, includes a request summary and excludes files marked for replacement. It does not assign files to checklist items.
7. Reuse the existing Duplicate request action for another project. Review the copied title, message, checklist and client/project fields; choose the new recipient privately. The old recipient and files must not carry across.

## Recipient checklist

1. Short biography and headline
A document with your role, short introduction and the type of work you want to show.

2. Three project summaries
For each project, include your role, a short description and approved credits. Do not include confidential results.

3. Portrait and project images
Original web-ready images with publication permission, named to match each project.

4. Public contact details and links
Only the email, social links or downloadable biography you want visitors to see.

## Content placement

- Short biography and headline: Home introduction and About.
- Three project summaries: Project pages.
- Portrait and project images: Portrait and project galleries.
- Public contact details and links: Contact section and footer.

## Initial message

I have prepared a short checklist for your website content. Please upload the listed files here: [paste the new private upload link]. You do not need an account. You can return to the same link for missing files until the request expires. Please use only material you may publish and do not send passwords.

## Missing or replacement message

Thanks for the files. We still need [exact missing item], and [file] needs replacing because [specific reason]. Please use the same private link: [paste link]. The request shows what has already arrived.

## Before handing over the website

- Check every supplied item for usefulness and publication permission. Do not treat a synthetic test as customer approval.
- Place the content into the mapped sections manually. The kit does not create CMS records or configure checkout, booking, hosting or domains.
- Obtain the client's written content approval before publication. Check the rendered mobile and desktop pages, public links and the intended written contact route.
- Keep private collection links and real client data out of screenshots, documentation and the public template.
- Free capacity, file-size limits and plan features remain those displayed in AskForFile. Check the current pricing page instead of promising a custom quota.
